Information for Networks, Broadcasters and Rights Holders

This page is for network owners, broadcasters, rights holders, copyright owners, channel operators, and content partners. It explains what Sporio TV is, what it is not, how your rights are protected, and how quickly we handle removal requests.

What Sporio is

Sporio TV is a discovery directory. We help users discover publicly available live television streams and find them by country, language, and category. Think of Sporio as a search and discovery layer for free, publicly available live TV — not a broadcaster.

What Sporio is not

Sporio does not:
• Host channels
• Store channels
• Record channels
• Re-broadcast channels
• Re-stream channels
• Modify channels
• Claim ownership of channels

All content remains under the control of its respective owner or hosting provider. Sporio only links to streams that are already publicly available elsewhere.

Fast removal policy

If a verified network, broadcaster, or rights holder requests removal, Sporio will promptly stop listing the channel. In most cases legal action is unnecessary — verification of ownership is sufficient. Cooperation is faster and simpler than legal escalation, and we are happy to work with you directly.

Benefits of staying listed

Participation is entirely voluntary, and many channel owners choose to remain listed because Sporio provides:
• Additional audience discovery
• Search visibility
• Global reach
• Country-based discovery
• Language-based discovery
• Category-based discovery

Verified owners may request removal at any time — there is no obligation to remain listed.

Abuse prevention

Sporio requires ownership verification before removing channels. This protects broadcasters against:
• Competitor takedowns
• Fraudulent requests
• Unauthorized removal attempts

Verification ensures that only the genuine owner, or an authorized agent, can change how a channel is listed.

How to request removal

Email dmca@sporio.tv with all of the following:
1. The exact channel name and its URL on Sporio (sporio.tv/channel/…).
2. Evidence that you own, or are authorized to act for, the channel or its content — for example proof of trademark or copyright ownership, official broadcaster identification, or written authorization from the rights holder.
3. Your full name, organization, and contact details.
4. A statement, signed under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or an authorized agent.

Response times

Typical review: 24–72 hours.
Urgent verified copyright matters: handled as quickly as practical after verification.

Upon verification we promptly cease listing the channel in our directory. Because we do not host the underlying content, removal from Sporio ends our listing only; the third-party stream itself remains under the control of its host.
